Nuclear Medicine Europe acts as the data controller for the processing of personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) and applicable Belgian data protection legislation.

3. Categories of Personal Data Processed

We may process the following personal data:

  • Full name
  • Company or organisation name
  • Email address
  • Membership account credentials (for registered members)
  • Information submitted via contact forms
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, and server logs
  • Analytics data collected through cookies (subject to consent)

The Association does not process health data, medical data, ID documents, VAT numbers, CVs, or sensitive personal data via this website.

4. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing

4.1 Membership Applications

Personal data submitted through membership applications is processed
on the basis of the legitimate interests of the Association, namely the evaluation and management of membership requests and the organisation of its professional network.

4.2 Member Account Management

Personal data of approved members is processed for the administration and secure management of member accounts.

4.3 Contact Forms

Personal data submitted via contact forms is processed in order to respond
to enquiries and manage communications. Processing is based on the
legitimate interest of the Association in handling correspondence.

4.4 Analytics and Cookies

Analytics data and non-essential cookies are processed solely on the basis
of the user’s consent. Users may withdraw consent at any time through
the cookie management tool available on the website.

5. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes
for which it was collected.

  • Membership data is retained for the duration of membership and
    for a limited period thereafter where necessary for administrative
    or legal purposes.
  • Rejected membership applications are not retained.
  • Contact form submissions are retained for a reasonable period
    necessary to handle the request and for follow-up, unless legal
    obligations require longer retention.
  • Technical and analytics data are retained in accordance with
    cookie settings and standard technical retention periods.

6. Data Sharing

Personal data may be shared with trusted service providers
(e.g., hosting providers, IT service providers, analytics providers)
solely for the purposes described in this Policy.

Hosting is located within the European Union.

If personal data is transferred outside the European Union,
such transfers will be carried out in accordance with applicable
data protection laws and subject to appropriate safeguards
(e.g., European Commission adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).

7. Data Security

The Association implements appropriate technical and organisational
measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access,
loss, misuse, or alteration.

However, no internet-based system can be guaranteed to be fully secure.

8. Data Subject Rights

Under applicable data protection law, individuals have the right to:

  • Access their personal data;
  • Request rectification of inaccurate data;
  • Request erasure of data (where applicable);
  • Restrict processing;
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent);
