Nuclear Medicine Europe is pleased to announce the election of 2 new Co-Chairs : Nick den Hartog Co-Chair of the Communications Working Group and Raphaël Ortiz as Co-Chair of the Therapy Working Group.
Nick has extensive experience in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development and is the Marketing Lead for the medical isotopes business at NRG PALLAS.
He has spearheaded the creation of the “Advancing Nuclear Medicine” brand and led the rebranding of NRG, aiming to secure a strategic position within the supply chain. His efforts have resulted in an appealing brand that resonates with existing customers and attracts potential future audiences. As an active member of the Communications Working Group, Nick will now collaborate with Jan Schöpflin, the current Co-Chair, to lead the group’s initiatives.
With over a decade of experience in the radiopharmaceutical industry, Raphaël is deeply committed to overcoming the challenges facing Targeted Radionuclide Therapies (TRTs) in Europe and expanding access to these transformative treatments. As CEO of Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited International Business, based in Geneva, he oversees global operations outside the U.S. and Canada, focusing on delivering advanced therapies to patients worldwide. Raphaël brings a wealth of experience from his roles at innovation-driven companies like Telix and Advanced Accelerator Applications (AAA), as well as global giants like Novartis. His expertise spans product development, commercialization, and the unique challenges of TRT, including regulatory hurdles, infrastructure limitations, and reimbursement issues. As Co-Chair, Raphaël aims to leverage his extensive background to collaborate with stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem, strengthen Europe’s TRT capabilities, and advocate for policies that support the life-changing potential of radiopharmaceutical therapies. Raphaël will collaborate with Jean BONNET, the current Co-Chair of the Therapy Working Group, to focus on therapy-related topics and projects.
